We have to admit that mainly we just like to be in the countryside. But we do occasionally go to places in the Limousin. | |

Lac d'UzuratTucked away at the bottom of the Zone Industrial Nord
a place to maybe have a picnic or just take a little break away from the
hustle and bustle of shopping Further around the lake there is a camp site and over at the opposite side a most intriguing place called Tarz en Arbre. This is a series of platforms and rope walks through the trees. Both adults and children can give it a go as far as we can tell. Definitely one for further investigation by your intrepid roving reporters.
If your interests are more sedate you might enjoy a stroll around the Jardin Moulin Pinard
Just below the Jardiland garden centre on the Zone Industrial Nord. This looks like quite a new little park created around an old watermill and mill stream. When we went in the spring the azaleas and rhododendrons looked lovely. There are a couple of restaurants close by too if picnics are not your style.
LimogesNot being city people we are by no means the people to come to but we are pleasantly surprised by bits of the city and we will go back and get more photos. This is the train station taken from the park over the road.
We are told that the inside of the building is
fabulous too so a wander round in there is on the list of things to do.
After all it's only a few hours to Paris.
