Flights To the Limousin

 

You can usually get return flights to the Limousin arriving at Limoges, Bellegarde airport for less than £100 especially if you are not tied to a particular date. The flight time to Bellegarde airport is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the UK. There are now flights from Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Stanstead and Southampton into Limoges.

The airport at Limoges is small but modern. There is a snack bar but this gets very crowded as flight times approach. There are no real facilities once you go through security so it is as well to wait.

The car park there was free but there is talk of charging due to the number of cars filling up the car park while their owners are abroad.

The airport is now a WiFi hotspot.

If you have booked a hire car once you leave the airport you are on the D2000 road around Limoges and it is fairly easy from  Bellegarde airport to find the two main routes the A20 and N147. We used to get a bit lost but not badly and for us it's been fairly quiet, traffic wise at any time of day.
